New Paintball Field in Citrus County, Fl.

The Nature Coast Sports and Evolution Complex has finally become a reality. The complex opened its doors on June 27, 2008 to a new 31,000-square-foot paintball field behind the main building at 60 N. Florida Ave. in Inverness, Fl.
The charge for one-day admission is $10 and to rent a gun, a mask and 200 paintballs are an additional $10. You may bring your own equipment, but you must use Nature Coast Sports’ field paint in order to play. It’s the same with the carbon dioxide, you can bring your own but you must get refills from Nature Coast.
The field opens every day at 9:30 a.m. and will stay open until 11 p.m. or midnight, depending on the day of the week and number of people. The grand opening for the complex is Saturday, July 5, 2008. There will be a dunk tank, live music by local bands and other entertainment.

Wachovia Bank Quits offering one of their Pick-A-Payment Options

Wachovia Corp. said on Monday, June 30, 2008 that it will quit offering a mortgage payment option that allows borrowers to pay less each month than the bank charges in interest.

The choice to pay less was one of the options of Wachovia’s Pick-A-Payment mortgages, which offers customers four different payment options each month. Wachovia said it will no longer offer the less-than-full interest payment option on all new home loans.

Sale Price of Homes fell again in May of 2008

The sale price of new homes fell again in May, 2008, the government reported Wednesday, June 25, 2008.

New homes were sold at an adjusted annual rate in May, 2008, down 2.5 percent from the April level and 40 percent from a year ago. The median price of a new home sold last month fell to $231,000, down 5.7 percent from last month. The figure was down 26 percent from a year ago, when the median price of a new home was $311,300.
